Citizens Advice Tunbridge Wells & District was set up in the week that World War 2 broke out and we've been offering free, impartial advice and support to local people ever since.
Our mission is to help people to find a way through the problems that affect their lives – including debt, housing, homelessness, family relationships, benefits and employment issues plus poor mental health - and to ensure that no one in our borough suffers because they don't know their rights or are unable to express their needs.
In March this year the coronavirus meant the end of face to face appointments but our team worked incredibly hard in order to deliver the same level of service from home, over the phone, via email and over webchat. We have supported hundreds of people in Tunbridge Wells who needed to claim Universal Credit for the first time, check their redundancy rights or deal with debts.
Our work makes an enormous difference to people when they most need help and, often, when they have nowhere else to turn. By nominating us as your Lotto charity you will support the recruitment and training of 15 new volunteers to meet the growing demand.
We need your help.
PLEASE join TW Lotto and nominate us as your Lotto charity - we would love to have your help to expand our service.
Thank you for your support and we wish you good luck!
