About us
Everyone deserves to have good mental wellbeing.
But in these increasingly difficult times, more and more are struggling with their mental health. In fact, Tunbridge Wells is the 3rd ranking district across Kent & Medway for prevalence of serious mental health disorders including bipolar, schizophrenia and severe major depression. Meanwhile, Public Health England statistics show that hospital admissions for self-harm in Tunbridge Wells are well above average for England.
But there is hope.
Last year, Mental Health Resource helped 931 people through our 4 key projects including:
- Our Hub wellbeing centre which provides wellbeing activities including creative writing, art and crafts, walking groups, needlecraft and more
- Fun & creative groups for young people aged 13-19
- Outreach groups for adults
- & advocacy support for those who've been detained under the mental health act.
Our clients often have complex, enduring mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar, borderline personality disorder, psychosis, Schizophrenia and self-harm.
But we know there are more people who need us at this challenging time.
Can you help us reach people in our community who are struggling by playing the TW Lotto? All proceeds will go to supporting mental wellbeing in our town and surrounding areas.
Thank you for your support and good luck in the lotto!
